A mother is someone who thinks first of her children, whatever age they may be.

She does things that she would never have done before she had my siblings and me.

A mother is happy when her child’s world is right

And sad when her children are completely out of her sight.

She holds you and comforts you when your heart needs to heal,

And loves you without question no matter how you feel.

She knows when your world is turned upside down,

With gentleness and wisdom, she’ll make a smile from a frown.

She’s there for you even when you’ve done wrong,

She’s the only person in the world that’ll still make you feel you belong.

In this world of meanness and not caring,

A mother is the one that always does the sharing!

Though she’s been sleeping for quiet a long while.

I still want her to hold me as if I was still a child.

With all the worldly riches, I still feel very poor,

Even though I know her love will be with me, until I breathe no more.

One day very soon we’ll be together again,

For Christ has promised, with him we will win.

That’s why he made mothers the way they are.

In their eyes her children will forever shine like a star.

But we all know who really does shine.

God has made mothers of every kind.
